Another Fashion Victim!

Pedigrees and Purebreds were once bought at a high price at a breeder or pet shop because owning a purebred pet has become very “fashionable” and many people like to brag about the cute and expensive pedigree puppy they have just purchased.

Often they don’t realize the consequences of having a pet and when it barks because of being caged or chained 24/7, or it pee’s on the carpet, or it chews on an expensive shoe that was on the floor, or just grows bigger and is not so cute anymore, or the novelty wears off, these same “designer pets” end up being neglected and become unwanted.

Amore’s Story:

Amore was found in Cianjur, South Jakarta. She was being chased down by a group of teenagers. Terified, she ran into a residential area where a nice family brought her to safety in their garage. The family contacted JAAN straight away.

Severely neglected, traumatized and malnourished….Amore was thoroughly examined by drh Denny at Animal Clinic Jakarta to get a clear picture of her overall condition.

We are still waiting for the blood results to come back , but for now she will need the following :

-good quality food that will help het to regain her strength back

-antibiotics for her infected wounds

-immunair to boost her immune system

-ivomec for her skin condition

-malaseb (medicated shampoo)

It is going to take a while to fix her up, but once healthy again Amore will also need to be vaccinated and sterilized.
