At this moment, our team in the Thousand Islands is busy with the release of a white bellied sea eagle, that was rescued early May from a private home where he was chained up. On July 8, a demonstration was held in Jakarta by local people from the Thousand Islands together with JAAN to ask attention for the immense waste problems we are dealing with in the Marine Park. Sterilization drives for domestic animals are ongoing and so is the care provided for carriage horses througout Jakarta. We are happy to announce the the rescued horses Untung and Rangga have been adopted by Havana stables in Salatiga, central Java, a beautiful location where the horses can live a natural life in groups on the fields! At the moment we care for twenty dogs and cats in need of new, good homes, so please do contact us through info@jakartaanimalaid.com if you are interested to adopt or provide a foster (temporary) home for a rescued animal.
