Luna and her pups were rescued by a nice lady in South Jakarta about 3 weeks ago. She was on her way home when Luna just walked up to her and licked her legs…The nice lady felt so sorry for Luna and her pups that she didnt want to leave her on the streets so she phoned JAAN and we assisted her with taking Luna and her pups to our clinic and then to her home where she is being fostered now.
Luna’s foster mom is unable to keep her for a long period because she already has 2 dogs ( 1 was adopted from JAAN!) and 1 of her dogs is very unhappy with Luna and her pups around which has caused some horrible fights.
Luna is a super duper sweet girl and has a calm and easy going personality. She is very sweet, friendly and affectionate.
She is a medium sized dog and has been vaccinated already.
PLEASE HELP!! If you cant adopt please at least help with fostering for a couple of weeks until we have found a permanent home. If you are looking for a dog to adopt, we really encourage you to consider Luna because she really is a sweetheart!!!

They have been with us since March 2005, they were 7 weeks old, from the same nest.
We always imagined they would move with us when we (ever) would leave Indonesia
But moving them to Sydney would mean 10 – 12 months boarding with no visitation possible for us. They have to stay out of Indonesia for 6 months before the Australian government will allow them to start quarantine process. We looked at all possibilities but there seems no way around this or to cut it short. We believe that a 10 month – 12 month period in a boarding house would completely traumatize them.
They survived 4 kids pulling their ears and tails, picking their eyes, and riding them like a pony, and have always been tolerant and extremely nice. They are great family dogs, absolutely amazing with children, and even all our staff loves them
At the same time they are the best guard dogs you could imagine and they love killing rats!
If we could find a family (or families) for them that would be interested to have a dog/dogs but not starting with a pupp and would consider to have them in their retirement years we believe that would be better than putting them through the process
Sari (female, black) and Wangi (male, white) have always been together but we would consider to split them up if that would make it easier for them finding a new home
They are mix labrador – thai street dog but were born here.
They come in perfect health, with all vaccinations done and a rabies free test

Sunday May 5th JAAN held its 4th annual PAWDAY Charity Event at Taman Langsat and it was a great success!!
Visitors started arriving at 07.15 and throughout the morning we had hundreds of visitors with their dogs!!! Thank you all for coming and for supporting animal welfare!!! We had a wonderful time and hope you and your dog had a great time too!!
We would like to thank Bp Raden for coming today and for sharing one of his stories with us!! It was an honour that you could attend and we appreciate your support for animal welfare very much!!

A group of former topeng monyet enjoy a nap together at Cikananga after being rescued from the streets of Jakarta by JAAN.   No longer subjected to beatings and starvation- these monkeys are now exhibiting normal monkey behavior.  Many thanks to Josha R  and Willi E for their amazing work at Cikananga and thanks also to the keepers and volunteers that care for these macaques.  JAAN now has 39 former topeng monyet at Cikananga and is looking for a release site for them where they can finally live in their natural habitat.  An uninhabited island would be best.  There are islands available- we just need a sponsor !  How about you or your company ??

Nero was someone’s pet until recently when his owner fell sick and could not take care of him anymore. With no family to take care of him, Nero needs to find a new loving family to spend the rest of his life with.
Nero looks like a mix Border Collie. He has a sweet smiley face with sparkling round eyes. His fur is thick and healthy.
Because Nero was a family pet, he is used to live inside with his human families.
Still young at 3 years old, Nero likes to walk around the garden or go out for walks. But he also enjoys sitting under the sofa watching TV. What he loves most is cuddles from you!!
