Orangutans are placed on the list as a CRITICALLY ENDANGERED species due to palm oil & the trade of illegal wildlife.
Multinational companies promoting ‘sustainable palm oil’ is a farce. We are loosing orangutans fast, right NOW due to habitat loss for palm oil production & the cruel Indonesian animal markets, which are centers for the illegal trade of wildlife. These markets that ‘supply’ the people with illegally caught wildlife, to sell as pets, should have been closed down ages ago!

The Government should stop legalizing new zoos with NO animal welfare standards/protocols in place to avoid unnessecary deaths. At The Jakarta Zoo alone tens of Orangutans have died in the past 12 years.

All schools, NGO’S & companies should ACT. Rescue & rehabilitation centers are struggling to keep their heaps up. Dont we realize how important it is to protect the last humans of the forest!?

Consider donating to the important work of rehabilitation centers in Kalimantan & Sumatra as they need our support more then ever now. Help fund the important book JAAN is making to raise worldwide attention for orangutan protection & palm oil issues.

Raise awareness yourself, start by educating your friends & family. The time is NOW!
