My name is Heineken. The people who caught me from the wild when i was young, trained me to become a ‘Dancing Monkey’. I wouldnt listen, I was scared & my handlers got angry with me, there for .. They removed my right ear. I was rescued at the end of 2013 when JAAN and the Jakarta Government finally put a ban on ‘Topeng Monyet’. I have undergone several surgeries to try and fix my inner ear problems. Although occasionally I still have some rising issues I am now a proud leader of a group of 10 rescued ex- Dancing Monkeys. I am safe. My request to you? Speak up against animal cruelty, Help JAAN ban the use of Dancing Monkeys & animals for entertainment in general!
